The carve-stone business is a joint venture by  Iain Cotton & Rob Thomson.  As well as providing stone carving kits, both Iain and Rob work with stone every day...and have done for years. 

The aim of carve-stone is to encourage the carving of stone by those who have an artistic nature but might not know where to start with giving carving a go.

Iain Cotton (pictured left) specialises in lettercutting into stone.  Much of his work is designing and carving individual and unique memorial stones.  He is also a stone conservator in between other projects. His company website is www.iaincotton.co.uk

Rob Thomson (pictured left) is also a building conservator, specialising in the conservation of stone buildings.  He works on buildings, sites and monuments across the UK, spending much of his time working with stonemasons and stonecarvers.
